Wire connected MP3 Players

 

The N-Com Basic Kit system is pre-set to allow you to listen to different audio devices, to be connected by means of the specific Multimedia Wire (sold separately). You can listen to an MP3 device, a CD player or an FM radio by using the 3.5 mm output that these devices normally have for the headsets.

Depending on the kind of N-Com system you have, check the correct Multimedia wire to be used: mono type (Multimedia Wire) or stereo type (Multimedia Wire2).

Use with Bluetooth Kit2 – Bluetooth Kit X-Series

The N-Com Bluetooth Kit2 (Bluetooth Kit X-Series) system can work in both Mono and Stereo audio modes.

Bluetooth Kit2 automatically recognizes the type of basic kit being used (Basic kit or Basic kit2) and if the type of connection cable to external audio sources is the mono type (“Multimedia Wire” or “Mobile Wire”) or stereo type (“Multimedia Wire2”).

The Bluetooth kit2 is pre-set to receive stereo cables, nevertheless when it is turned on a check is carried out on the type of connected cable. If you plan on connecting a Mono cable, you need to connect this cable before you turn on the system; under this condition the system will work in Mono mode.

In the event that Mono cables (Mobile wire or Multimedia wire) are always used, you can pre-set the system so that it always works with mono cables.

 

Connection with Multimedia Wire

Connector 3 (3 poles – with coloured strip) in the audio device input

Connector 4 (4 poles) in the helmet input

 

Warning: Listening to other equipment  should not interfere with driving the vehicle, which must be the top priority
at all times. Carry out all operations on the electronic equipment and on the N-Com system with the vehicle stopped,
in compliance with Traffic Regulations.

 

Warning: Listening at high volumes can distract you from driving the vehicle and may result in dangerous situations
or reduce the ability to hear external noise. Adjust the volume before using the system on the road.

 

Warning: Adjust the volume of the N-Com system (if equipped) and of the audio sources connected to it
to avoid audio reproduction at high volumes. Constant exposure to high audio volumes may damage your hearing.
